Varena - Val di Fiemme

Varena is nicely situated at the foot of Corno Nero and its population is of 780 inhabitants. It is one of the most ancient inhabited centres in Trentino.

The plateau of Lavazè Pass, 10 km from Varena, has a beautiful landscape and therefore has an important tourist role. It is a real paradise to those who practise Nordic skiing with its 80 km of tracks but also thanks to its ski lifts and slopes for down-hill skiing.

In summer Varena is a good starting point for walks and mountain-bike excursions, also in the nearby territory of the Province of Bolzano.
